Yes, the US joined the war late because the war was not popular at home but at the end the US did join the war and freed France from Nazi occupation. Do you think that the American soldiers who came to France and sacrified their lives to save us did it with any self interest ideas ?

@Claire,

It is your right to have an opinion about the necessity of religion but I find it sad that people need to believe in a God to fill their life with hope and charity.
