Well, the gender dynamics has completely shifted in a few decades. In the past, young men were experiencing more sex than young women. Now look at the graphs in this video. Young women have access to a lot of casual sex, sex without love, while pornography is the only solution for a lot of men. But this is taboo, the ultimate taboo, you’ll never hear about male frustration in this society, only male violence and « rape culture ». Capitalism has nothing to do with that. It’s a cultural stream : woman empowerment, woman narcississm, because they’ve got a lot of choice, and men are desperate, they’re useless due to technology, and the spiritual emptiness of our society leaves nothing but romantic love as the ultimate goal for happiness.
